Hannah and Ben are a VERY special couple to me. I have been able to photograph so many memories for them. It Started when they modeled a workshop for me in the Redwoods a couple years back. They drove 6 hours to model and saved the day. I was so thankful for them and knew we would always be great friends. Hannah then attended my next workshop and Ben reached out to me to plan a surprise proposal the last day of the workshop!! They immediately asked me to photograph there wedding on the spot and I was so shocked and so thankful.Life got crazy with COVID and they had to make a TON of changes. Their plans changed from Alaska, Idaho, Iceland….they ended up picking Cape Kiwanda and honestly, I was doing a happy dance. I would shoot an elopement here every single day if I could. It’s hands down my favorite place in the world.
These two made my job so easy. They have been together 6 years, met in high school and are so in love. And let me just tell you how badass this couple is. They bought all there own decorations, styled everything, made their own dinner. It was so cool to see. Weddings can always be a huge production and I love that they stayed true to them and made there day so special for there friends and family. After the small reception we went and got some epic shots with them skating around and explored the coastline cliffs. They love to roller blade and skateboard and it was seriously so awesome getting to shoot them doing things that they love and enjoy on a daily basis.
In my eyes- when people think of a dream elopement. This was it. True. Real. Fun. Happy. Intentional. I hope you love the images as much as I do!
