Kelsey + I were actually friends years ago in college when we were Sigma Kappa sisters. So when she reached out to me to ask me to be her elopement photographer, I couldn’t have been more stoked!!
Melissa + Kelsey are truly each other’s puzzle pieces – best friends that fell in love and are completely & 10000% meant for each other.
They got ready together on their elopement day, which I LOVE because it’s so personal and fun for couples to do. Once they were ready to go and both looked stunning in their dresses, we headed to Smith Rock for their vow exchange! It was windy as hell this day, but the wind made for amazing photos that really show the atmosphere of their ceremony.
We ended our time at Smith Rock with couple’s portraits of these babes in front of the epic desert landscape. Seeing how happy Kelsey is in her relationship made me so damn happy! I was SO over the moon that I got to reunite with her & photograph their big day!!

Yes, Oregon is FILLED with lush af greenery & beautiful bodies of water. But we alsooo have the most stunning desert areas! Oregon seriously has it all, I will never get over it!!
Smith Rock State Park is probably Oregon’s most popular desert destination. It’s around 145 miles from Portland, located in Terrebonne. It’s perfect for hikers & adventurers!
The park has massive, epic golden rock formations everywhere, with a ton of different trails to hike on. There’s even a river that flows through the park if you need to cool off since it gets hot and dry as hell in the summer!
And the sunsets here are truly to die for! The golden fields of grass + the rocks look absolutely incredible when the sun is going down! (Sunrise is insane too if you’d rather have an epic sunrise elopement!)
If you’re thinking of eloping at Smith Rock State Park, note that you’ll have to buy a parking pass for the time you’re there. We’ll also need to plan out our timeline according to the weather + time of day you’ll be eloping! The sun rises and sets in different parts of the park so we’ll keep lighting in mind + plan what parts of the park we’re going to hit up for your vows, portraits, etc.
