Y’all, I’ve been DYING to show you this photoshoot in all its beauty!! Alex + Oliver wanted some magical photos at a waterfall before their elopement, just to capture some memories. So I said hell yeah, and we made it happen! Their editorial engagement photos at Panther Creek Falls, WA, are now some of my all-time faves.

Alex + Oliver’s Unique Editorial Engagement Photos

If you’ve seen any of my photos on my website or social media, you know I’m all about authentic storytelling! I rarely ever “pose” my couples, instead I allow them to just be present and focus on each other. But these waterfall engagement photos turned out a little different!

Alex + Oliver are a super cool couple & are very into collecting art. They were telling me allll about the artwork they collect, their relationship, + their favorite stories. Their love for artwork, the light, and their outfits made me want to redirect this shoot into a bit more of an editorial style!

It quickly became such a collaborative shoot as we stepped into this cool artistic, more editorial style – which is very different from my usual storytelling side. But it was SO fun, unique, and so representative of Alex + Oliver!! 

Plus, can you even handle this lighting we got?! Light rays like these always feel like a one in a million chance. The light, the mist, everything needs to hit JUST RIGHT for this magic to appear. And wow did we get to experience the magic in that forest!!

I’m so, so thankful for couples who trust me with my vision, but who also collaborate with me to make sure the photos feel 1000% authentic to them. Alex + Oliver, this unique engagement photoshoot is easily one of my favorite shoots from 2021!

About Panther Creek Falls, Washington

If you can’t tell already by the stunning light rays, waterfalls, mossy rocks, & lush green trees – this location was to DIE for. 

Panther Creek Falls is a super beautiful waterfall in southwest WA, along the Columbia River Gorge. It’s an amazing location for engagement photos because it’s easy to access, only a short hike that’s less than a mile to get there! 

And the waterfall isn’t the only magical part of this forest – everywhere you look you’re surrounded by greenery & PNW goodness. We had sooo much fun exploring the whole area and taking it all in! I love love adventuring with my couples and finding all the hidden spots that people don’t know about, off the beaten path.
