I had the honor of capturing Taylor + Jay’s Brookings elopement this past spring (not to be confused with Taylor + Jake’s recent Brookings elopement!). Their day was truly filled with meaning, intention, and love from start to freaking finish, and I’m so thankful I got to be there! Yes, it was a springtime elopement – but I HAD to put a spotlight on Taylor’s flowers that were giving me alllll the fall vibes (you know I can’t wait for October to roll around). If you’re eloping this fall, keep scrolling for a ton of stunning fall elopement bouquet inspiration!
I know, I know – you’re probably getting tired of seeing all these breathtaking photos of couples in love, eloping on the beautiful Oregon Coast 😉 I will never get tired of capturing couples’ love stories at such an epic location, so I will neverrrr stop sharing them either. Taylor + Jay are the next couple added to my list of fond memories in Brookings, OR, my fav little town on the southern Oregon Coast.
They started their adventure elopement by getting ready separately, Taylor getting her hair done so beautifully and having her makeup done by Janice Moon Artistry.
Jay got dressed in a white undershirt, black pants, and eventually put on his classic dark blue suit jacket for their sweet first look inside where they were staying. Later in the day, he swapped out the white undershirt for a black one, which added such a simple yet distinct change to his look!
I looooved how the insides of his jacket that were folded out were a shade of gray to contrast the deep blue of the rest of his jacket. He truly put together such a classic look, adding those few extra flairs (including a floral boutonniere) to spice it up!
Once Taylor + Jay were ready to do the dang thing, we headed to my favorite spot along the southern Oregon Coast for their private vow exchange. It was so, so sweet getting to witness these two commit the rest of their lives to each other, and experience this magic moment in front of such a surreal, incredible backdrop! Plus, they even brought along little photos of their dogs so they could be “included” in their post-ceremony photos😂
Speaking of post-ceremony photos, man did we take a lot! We intentionally set aside a ton of time for these two to enjoy their evening together and really breathe in all the feelings of the day. We explored multiple areas of the coast, from epic cliffside overlooks to lush green grassy fields to driftwood-covered beaches, each spot just as amazing as the last.
During our time adventuring around these breathtaking locations, I made sure to get plenty of photos of the outfits these two chose, as they were so stunning and went together beautifully. I mean did you even see Taylor’s GORGEOUS dress, covered in intricate lace detail, highlighted by off-the-shoulder sleeves and a freaking beautiful tulle train?! Paired with her minimalistic makeup + hairdo, and Jay’s classic navy & black outfit, these two looked like they came straight out of a movie, I swear.
And did you even notice that she swapped her sleeves half way through the day?! She started with a killer set of tulle sleeves that added a high neckline to her outfit, and swapped them later for a pair of off-the-shoulder sleeves. An absolute icon.
I’m so in love with the photos we got of Taylor + Jay enjoying this incredibly special time together so they can remember it for the rest of their lives!
Okay now let’s talk about those FLOWERS. Taylor + Jay eloped in the spring, but I could not stop getting all the fall vibes from their beautiful florals, put together by the talented Freckled Fleurs! Taylor’s bouquet was filled with all of my favorite fall jewel tones: deep burgundies, mustard yellows, muted greens, pale pinks, and plenty of neutral beiges + creams. Jay wore a matching boutonniere, packed with the same beautiful warm tones that stood out wonderfully against the rest of his dark-colored outfit. These flowers are a classic example of those dreamy fall elopement bouquets + flowers that couples dream of for their fall elopement!
