I still can’t get over Kate + Ben’s micro wedding at Deep Creek Farmstead, the dreamiest summer celebration just outside of Portland. I’m obsessedddd with this woodland wedding venue and can’t wait to show you just how perfect it was for their special day. And for you to see how wildly, adorably in love these two are with each other—my heart couldn’t take it!

Moments like this kill me, when your family and friends are just SO excited to celebrate you that they want to watch everythingggg, haha. After getting ready with their respective wedding parties, Kate and Ben met up outside the venue’s cozy, renovated home for their first look—with an audience! The summer sun was shining, the leaves were blowing in the gentle breeze, and their guests were watching from afar, just dying to witness the big moment between the bride and groom. Kate walked out looking like an ANGEL, and Ben reacted accordingly; just the sweetest opportunity for these two to share the biggest smiles, hugs, and kisses. The relief that they finally got to be together was so clear—I don’t think they could’ve spent one more second apart.
P.S. How DREAMY did Kate’s veil look during this moment?! Those pearls draping down the back of her loose curls + gorgeous gown were a 10/10.

Kate and Ben made things official with an evening ceremony under the venue’s pergola, decorated in stunning florals + surrounded by lush, green trees in the background. It was important to them to have a chance to say their vows in private, too, so we headed down to the creek for a few moments just for the two of them. I always love when couples create their wedding or elopement day in a way that feels right to them, without worrying about breaking tradition—whether that means you have a huge party with your besties, a low-key, intimate gathering, or anything in-between.

There’s nothing I love more than a couple who puts time + attention into creating an amazing reception for their guests! Kate and Ben were so intentional about putting together a wonderful experience for everyone involved. With all kinds of delish charcuterie boards to munch on, Polaroids for guests to capture + put in the guest book, and custom cocktails to enjoy (how amazing does that sparkling lavender lemonade sound?), how could you not have a blast?! Later in the evening, after first dances, they even joined everyone for lawn games of badminton, cornhole, and croquet. Kate was prepared and ready to get her competition on, changing out of her heels and into sneakers before the games started! Love these two and the fun, joyful, and beautiful day they had!

Deep Creek Farmstead was made for microweddings, offering an idyllic space for you and a few guests to retreat to for a little woodland escape. It’s located right on a creek that leads to the Clackamas River, with seven lush acres free for you to explore + call home during your wedding festivities. The farmstead is SUPER secluded, bordered by two large private parks, so you won’t feel like you’re anywhere near a big city (even though you’re only 30 minutes from Portland!). Every ceremony spot is stunning, from the huge eucalyptus tree to the open field next to the pond, and so are your options for outdoor meals—either enjoy your wedding dinner in the Garden House, out in the front garden, or in the barn.
With space for up to 75 day use guests and 12 overnight guests (yes, there are accommodations on the property!), it’s a dream come true for couples who want to plan an unforgettable weekend-long party with loved ones. Trust me, you’ll want plenty of time to enjoy the stunning landscapes and retreat into the quiet + peace of the outdoors—whether you stay on the property the entire time, or head out and explore the nearby wilderness. Mt. Hood is an easy day trip from here if you want to plan a little hiking day with your fam and friends, or you can raft down the Clackamas River to cool off in the summer! End your days with campfire stories, cozy snuggles on the deck, or stargazing from the hot tub—you cannot go wrong here.
Micro wedding packages at Deep Creek Farmstead start at $3500 for weekend weddings from November-May, with options to celebrate for a single day, overnight, or for an entire weekend. You can take a peek at more info here, if you’re considering having your micro wedding at this magical venue!
