Page + Taylor had the most unique adventure elopement on the Oregon Coast & the California redwoods! Keep on reading for all the redwood wedding inspiration, their sweet story, and LOTS more about their one-of-a-kind elopement day!
Page + Taylor are just one of those couples that I INSTANTLY connected with. I felt like they were my close friends immediately and the way they trusted me so fully to capture their photos + their day was so so special.
After these two babes got ready, we started off exploring the redwoods together in the Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, one of my fave spots!! Their officiant, Charles Wright (The Wright Officiant) married them right there in the redwoods.
But since their marriage license was actually for Oregon, we met up with him again at a random hotel in Brookings to have them be officially married!! We had to ask a random hotel employee to be their witness – it was so random in hilarious.
Afterward, we got food + went off to the beach at sunset for more pics of the two of them!
Here’s what Page + Taylor said to Green Wedding Shoes about their unique elopement day:
“Our inspiration was to have something light and joyful in such a chaotic year. We knew we wanted to say our vows in nature and we’ve always felt really connected to the Redwoods. We made our wedding bands together, wrote personal vows together, and created playlists together. We wanted it to be a day completely about us.” – Page + Taylor
This is what elopements are all about!! They can be ANYTHING you want them to be and more! These two are the perfect example of why I LOVE elopements more than anything + why elopements allow you space to truly be together and be yourselves.
And I can’t write this blog post without talking about Page’s dress! It’s a one-of-a-kind gown from Claire la Faye, and Page’s mom actually gifted her a family necklace that just so happened to match the dress perfectly. It all came together so amazingly!
Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park is located about 6 hours south of Portland, and 30 minutes down the coast from Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor (where Page + Taylor took their beach pics!). It’s just 20 minutes south of the OR border so it’s perfect if you want to hit up two states for your elopement day as these two did!
There are TONS of opportunities at this state park, including camping (in cabins!), hiking, horseback riding, biking, fishing, & more!
Basically – that means you have a ton of fun things accessible that you can include on your elopement day. Are you outdoorsy people?? Let’s go hiking to a super scenic viewpoint where you can say your vows!! Maybe you love camping? Stay in a cabin the night before your elopement. Orrrr stay the night of your elopement, and let’s huddle around a campfire together with s’mores once the sun goes down!!
The Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor near Brookings, OR is one of my FAVE spots along the Oregon Coast!! It’s about 6 hours south of Portland and just north of the Cali border.
This corridor has it all: scenic overlooks, secluded beaches, rocks + tide pools, and plenty of hiking options. Check out Sarah & Blake’s gorgeous elopement at this magical coastal spot for more inspo!! It’s also BREATHTAKING in the fall – I’ve even got a whole article on how to elope in OR in the fall and there are photos featured in it from fall elopements at this location!
Page + Taylor’s elopement was SO dang dreamy, I had to submit it to Green Wedding Shoes, one of my fave wedding/elopement publications!! See the article here that they wrote about the elopement for even more coastal elopement inspo!

Page + Taylor, you two are a freaking dream. Your elopement was 100% your day, your dream, and everything you both wanted it to be. You handmade your own wedding bands, wrote your own vows, wore a ONE OF A KIND wedding dress and the most rad green suit, ate the yummiest food, and explored and got married in TWO states in one day. What could be better?!
I feel so grateful I got to be your witness + your photographer! I honestly am still speechless over this day!
