I had THE most fun time shooting these couple’s pictures with Madeline + Corbin!! We hung out in Springfield at sunset with the most gorgeous views.
Madeline and Corbin wanted some fun couple’s pictures together, so we went to one of my favorite fields in Springfield, OR! Believe it or not, this field is actually just 2 minutes past my house. I can almost guarantee that most people drive by this field and think it’s just a field of weeds or don’t even notice it at all!!
But what I see is all the golden yellow + creamy white flowers (the “weeds”), tall AF grass, gorgeous mountain backdrops, and the best lighting ever after around 8 pm in the summer months.
I’m so grateful that these cuties went running around this giant field with me to make this vision come to life!! It was so natural and easy-going – Madeline and Corbin know how to have a good time and look bomb as hell in front of the camera.
My fave part of this session: the white linen sheet we used to add some fun variety to the photos!! At the beginning of M + C’s session, we brought out this sheet and used it in a few different ways: we draped it over a clothesline between two cars, had them sit on it, I shot through it, behind it, they played with it, etc. It was SUCH a fun prop that added a simple yet pretty extra touch to some of their photos.
You could also lay it on the ground to use for a cute picnic, drape it over your shoulders, etc.
You can buy a similar sheet here on Etsy! I highlyyyy recommend using it to add some dimension, depth + layers to photos that would otherwise be a little flatter. The SIMPLEST props can sometimes be the best, in my opinion!
I love LOVE the monochromatic color scheme Madeline + Corbin went with. Madeline wore an oversized fuzzy white sweater from Shopbop, cropped wide-leg, white jeans from Abercrombie, black lace-up Doc Martens, and a beige hat from Show Me Your Mumu.
Shop each of these items at the links below if you’re loving her outfit as much as I did!!
Corbin matched her on top, with a striped white long-sleeve shirt, paired with black pants and white shoes. I’m ALL about neutral color schemes as you probably already know, and I totally believe monochromatic looks can be amazing! As long as you’re not fully matching each other to the point that it looks tacky, monochrome outfits can look beautiful against nature + landscape backgrounds that are full of earth tones.
