I hosted this styled airbnb elopement shoot with Curated Mess Co., a style & design company based in Bend OR! We created this content day to give elopement photographers a chance to build their portfolio and work with an AMAZING couple. It turned out so freaking incredible y’all!!

I love hosting content days where the model couples are able to experience the day as if it were their own elopement. I’m not a fan of making a shoot super fake just for the camera. I want real emotions coming through in the photos!

 

Ash + Mac were the perfect couple for this. They really did get to experience all the fun things throughout this day as if it were real!

Why you should get ready together

They started off the shoot by getting ready together, something I freaking loveee when couples do. I know the tradition is to get ready separately and not see each other before your ceremony, but if you know me you know I love throwing traditions out the window!

Getting ready together is SUCH a sweet time on your elopement day. It lets you spend more time together on the day where you’re celebrating you two. It provides a really intimate time to be intentional with each other. To help each other get ready for the biggest day of your lives!

In short, you can make coffee, breakfast, take a bath, do shots, whatever you want when you get ready together. These two played Uno, spent time in the cozy sheets, and helped each other get dressed in the morning. These moments are truly some of the sweetest of the whole day!

Sweet love letters

Most importantly, to give them a truly emotional experience, Ash + Mac wrote love letters to each other that they read for their “vow ceremony.” It was such a stunning location, overlooking the Oregon desert valleys, with an incredible one-of-a-kind arbor decorated by Novella Theory Floral Co.. I freaking LOVE seeing the ways different florists decorate uniquely shaped arbors on elopement days!!

A gorgeous private dinner

And once they’d finished reading their emotional love letters, they celebrated with a private dinner on the deck of their Airbnb. A romantic dinner set up just for you & your babe, with candles, drinks, & yummy food. What more could you ask for?!
