Abigail + Knox’s elopement was such a rad day that felt 1000% THEM. They explored the sand dunes, went sand boarding, ate yummy snacks, and even ended the day with a swim in the lake. Keep reading to hear about their unique elopement at Honeyman State Park!
What better way to start off a simple, chill elopement day than getting ready in your car?!
Abigail came with her hair all done up in the most freaking gorgeous braid. She added a floral piece to add on to the minimalistic earthy vibe they were going for. They got dressed in the car, helping each other get all buttoned up & ready to explore! Changing in the car is always doable if there’s not a bathroom or building at your location – I’ll always help you find some privacy to get into your attire!
You are not even going to believe what I’m about to tell you. Abigail MADE HER DRESS. Yes, she freaking made her own dress!! It literally looks like a luxury designer gown, with its gorgeous lace patterns, uniquely-cut hems, and beaded details on the sleeves. What a freaking unreal, talented babe!!
Once they both looked freaking amazing in their outfits, we headed to a sandy spot so they could read their vows. They shared their love for each other and were so fully present in the moment together. With nobody else around – it was such a special thing to witness!
Staying present on your wedding day is one of the hardest things. Especially because traditional weddings encourage sooo much pressure to do certain things, spend money on certain things, & invite certain people. Here are 10 Ways to Slow Down + Be Present on Your Wedding Day, so you can FULLY experience the magic of the day and create memories that’ll last forever!
A major highlight of the day: borrowing a local kid’s sand board and taking it down the sandy hills!! These two had a freaking BLAST sand boarding down the dunes together. They snuggled up in the sand and picked wildflowers, just being their truest selves. Abigail + Knox are the perfect example of making your elopement day your OWN, without caring what anybody else thinks or wants.

Charcuterie boards are the PERF way to eat yummy food on your elopement day without having to pack a whole meal or hire a caterer. Abigail + Knox enjoyed a gorgeous charcuterie board put together by Dakota Eats, at a picnic table in the forest. They were the cutest, just enjoying the delish snacks and feeding each other!!
And to end the day, these two decided to run into the lake for an evening swim. SUCH a fun way to end on a high note and enjoy the last of the day’s light. Who cares about getting your clothes dirty when all you want to do is have fun together and fully be in the moment?!
Technically called the Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial State Park, this park is a super beautiful park along the coast and three miles south of Florence, OR! It’s got a big campground for those of you who might want to sleep under the stars on your elopement day. The campground is packed with tons of tent sites, electrical sites with water, and even a few yurts.
The sand dunes are a really fun & unique option for either your vow exchange or even just some sunset portraits. The two freshwater lakes are perfect for a swim or some paddle boarding if that’s more your thing! The park is open year-round, and you’ll need to get a day-use parking permit once you get to the park.
If you’re still considering other locations for your elopement, here are a few of my fav spots along the coast with breathtaking views & tons of opportunities to explore!
