If you’re looking for the DREAMIEST fall wedding inspiration ever, then you’ve come to the right place!! Morgan + Nick’s backyard fall wedding was truly one of the most gorgeous days I’ve gotten to photograph. Plus it’ll give you allll the DIY fall wedding inspiration + ideas that you will EVER need – trust me.
I’ve been friends with Morgan through Insta for a few years, and she messaged me the NIGHT she got engaged! We first met in person when they came to Oregon for their engagement session and it was AMAZING. We seriously felt like soul sisters. So getting to capture their wedding day was truly a dream! I felt like a guest, everyone was that welcoming. Morgan + Nick are just such amazing people – so creative, kind, and so real.
Morgan + Nick had their wedding on Nick’s family property in Stow, MA. Right in front of a super old-growth tree that provided allll the fall magic you could ask for. They’re truly unlike any other couple I’ve ever photographed. They have such a genuine connection and their love is so contagious + so energizing. I knew their big day was going to be incredible!
Would you believe it if I told you almost EVERYTHING from this wedding was made by the bride?! Morgan is a freaking DIY queennnn and literally put nearly everything together on her own, + with the help of family & friends. She really brought all their magical fall wedding visions to life. I felt like every single piece & tiny detail that I photographed had a story behind it, or was made by someone, or dreamed up by another. The DIY details truly added such a unique + meaningful aspect to every part of the day.
She actually has her own Etsy shop, thecopperknots, where she sells the most gorgeous “vintage & handmade goods for the modern bohemian.” Check out her shop here & give her a follow on Insta @thecoppetouch to see all her beautiful pieces. She is just so phenomenal and creative!
They started off their day with a special first look on the porch of the house. Morgan came out in her absolutely STUNNING boho lace gown with the dreamiest flow-y sleeves. Nick killed it in a simple white collared shirt + tweed vest that allowed Morgan & her dress, flower crown, and freaking beautiful hair to SHINE!!
These two invited all their closest loved ones to witness their ceremony under a giant tree on Nick’s family property. You could not ask for a more dreamy ceremony location. Right in the middle of the woods, with all the most gorgeous fall colors surrounding us. They kept their ceremony setup simple, with a few floral installations on either side of them, a pretty rug in the aisle, and bouquets next to each row of guests.
Morgan + Nick lit a unity candle during their ceremony and their vows made us allllll tear up. It was such a special celebration of their beautiful love with all of their fav people there to witness!!
After the official stuff was over, we of course HAD to take some wedding portraits of Morgan + Nick in the woods with fall colors every whereee you looked. Morgan’s red hair looked freaking INCREDIBLE with the autumn color palette. She looked like a bohemian queen accidentally fell into a magical forest! Some of my favorite shots of these two are the drone shots of them laying on Nick’s dad’s vintage sage-green Mustang, which they drove off in at the end of the night.
All in all, this day was BEYOND incredible and I am so so thankful I got to capture it for Morgan + Nick. Truly adore you two soooo much and cannot wait to see all the amazing things you do together!!
