Sharing yet another absolutely jaw-dropping southern Oregon Coast elopement today – this time, featuring Taylor + Jake! Their sunset elopement ceremony, private vow exchange, and intimate day filled with sunshine + lots of love was absolutely one for the books.
These two cuties started off the day on a super chill note, hanging out with their loved ones while they got ready. Taylor snacked on finger foods from delicious-looking charcuterie boards (always my fave elopement meal idea!), while Jake spent some time at the pool table before putting on his outfit. I loved the way these two were intentional about using this time to be with their loved ones, and just how happy their friends & family were to be there with them!
Once Taylor had gotten into her stunning black & white (yes, that’s BLACK at the bottom of her dress!) elopement outfit and Jake looked snazzy in all-black, they headed out to a viewpoint for their first look over the ocean. I will never get over how amazing it is that I get to watch these little moments between couples, seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day, with such an incredible landscape behind them!
Taylor and Jake kept their ceremony super intimate, with just two loved ones on each side of them during it, along with their officiant. We headed to their ceremony spot in a grassy field overlooking the coast, and got to enjoy the most beautiful sun shining down on them as they tied the knot in one of the most amazing places ever. It was so simple, small, and so full of love.
As the sun continued to set, we headed to a different spot along the jagged cliffs of the southern Oregon Coast for a private vow exchange, just between Taylor + Jake. I always love when couples do this, because it really gives them a chance to be present together and not have to worry about anybody else watching them or listening to their heartfelt words.
And finally, we ended the day with a bang, enjoying the golden glow of the final moments of the sun setting over the ocean. Sunset on a sunny day on the Oregon Coast is truly magical; the way the light rays gleam on the ocean and reflect onto the shores is pretty dang incredible. Plus, with two beautiful people like Taylor + Jake in front of the views, it becomes even more breathtaking!
So so thankful I got to be a part of this super intimate, special day with these two!
Y’all I still can’t get over how badass and unique Taylor looked in this dress – which was actually a SKIRT and a top! This is Sweet Caroline Styles’ “Cordelia skirt,” which they describe as a skirt for the “fearless bride looking to add some pop to her wedding day look.” The soft chiffon and black dip-dye on the bottom of the skirt turns it into a super unique piece that definitely doesn’t look like any other wedding outfit you’ve seen.
I especially love that choosing a skirt over a one-piece dress allowed Taylor to mix up her look. For the majority of their elopement day, she wore a lacy, white, classic-bridal-style top, which she threw a black leather jacket over toward the end of the day (totally badass). Then she swapped it for a black top for their private vow exchange, which looked amazing against the white skirt and its black bottom.
Props to Taylor for going bold with her elopement outfit choice – and wow did she look stunning doing it!!
