Okay y’all, I’ve been meaning to put this blog together forever now because it’s a well-known fact that I’m OBSESSED with everything Twilight related! I literally just had new portraits taken where Twilight was filmed sooo if that doesn’t tell you enough, I don’t know what will. Getting to photograph couples at the places where my fave series was filmed + where the movies mention makes my heart so happy, and I know a lot of my couples love Twilight just as much as I do. So I wanted to put together this list of 8 of my favorite Twilight-inspired elopement locations in the PNW where you can celebrate your big day!
I’ll start off with the most obvious location on this list – Forks, of course! The entire Twilight series is set in Forks, WA, which is located in the heart of the Olympic Peninsula. Not only does that make it such a rad spot to elope, it’s also one of the most breathtaking towns in the state – and fun fact, it’s the rainiest town in the country! I’ll be talking more about some of my fave locations in Forks a little later in this blog, but Forks as a whole is home to so many incredible sights to see. With easy access to Olympic National Park, Cape Flattery, & more scenic rivers, trails, and mountain views, you will never run out of adventurous things to do in Forks. So if you’re looking for a cozy coastal town to stay in during your elopement + you want access to some of the most stunning spots in Washington, Forks is the place to go!
While the Twilight movies weren’t actually filmed in La Push, the beach is mentioned throughout the books (and later, I’ll tell you where those “La Push” surfing scenes were actually filmed!), and is a real place in WA! It’s a small beach village right on the peninsula, west of Forks, known for its moody PNW scenery and whale-watching (and obviously the Twilight references). La Push Beach is a series of three beaches: First Beach, Second Beach, and Third Beach. It’s also close to Rialto Beach, which is one of my personal favorite spots to take couples on the Olympic Peninsula thanks to the freaking spectacular scenery & massive sea stacks that look epic in photos! All of these beaches are unique, moody, and different from your average coastline spot. Plus there are so many amazing cabins, Airbnb’s, & restaurants in La Push that I can show you!
You HAVE to see Karli + Kevin’s Rialto Beach Elopement – it had allll the Twilight vibes!
The Hoh Rain Forest is legit one of the most magical places on planet Earth, I’m convinced y’all. It’s one of the four rain forests on the Olympic Peninsula, and will literally leave your jaw on the floor the moment you walk in. Eloping under this canopy of old-growth, moss-covered trees, surrounded by vibrant ferns & lush greenery is an otherworldly experience! Plus, the Hall of Mosses trail is super easy to walk on and is wheelchair-friendly, so you won’t have to hike at all to get to this incredible forest.

If you’d rather tie the know or take your elopement portraits in front of a lake in the mountains, then you should check out Lake Crescent. Located about 18 miles west of the little town of Port Angeles, Lake Crescent is an epic lake in Olympic National Park, with incredible views of the Olympic Mountains + all the moody Twilight vibes. The glacier-carved lake is one of the deepest in the state and is the perfect place to spend an afternoon out on the water in the summer, or to stay cozied up by the fire at the lakeside lodge in the winter!
Now if you’re looking for an actual wedding venue with the same Twilight vibes, Fern Acres in Forks is a rad option! This intimate wedding venue sits on 5 acres of lush, forested land in the middle of Forks, bringing allll the magical PNW vibes. The ceremony space is surrounded by moss-covered old-growth stumps, ferns galore, and beautiful vine maples. It literally feels like a fairytale, and is an amazing option if you’re looking for a private space you can rent out versus eloping at a public spot in Olympic National Park. There’s even an adorable little gazebo and the most gorgeous garden! Plus, you’re close enough to the other well-known spots near Forks that you can easily visit for elopement portraits the day before or after your ceremony.
Remember when Edward takes Bella to climb trees & fly through the treetops? That scene was filmed in Skamania County at a spot overlooking the Columbia River! Rowena Crest is a breathtaking overlook that gives off the same vibes, and also sits atop the Columbia River with great views of the Gorge. The scenery from this high-up viewpoint is just beautiful, looking down on the horseshoe-shaped Historic Columbia River Highway with views of Mt. Hood and Mount Adams way in the distance on a clear day. I love shooting up here, whether the skies are clear & you get an epic sunset or it’s a classic moody PNW day with gloomy skies!
Wayyy down south on the Oregon Cost is another one of my fave Twilight-inspired elopement locations, Secret Beach. This little beach is a hidden gem along the Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor with absolutely breathtaking views of the coast and the massive sea stacks + bluffs lining the ocean. Sunrise & sunset are freaking epic here, and it’s super fun to explore all the secluded beaches + little coves in the area! I would LOVE to take you to Secret Beach for your elopement and get all the Twilight-esque portraits you’re dreaming of 😉

Last but not least is Indian Beach, which is the actual filming location for “La Push” in the Twilight movies! It’s a secluded, sandy beach near Cannon Beach, OR, where lots of people go to surf + check out the tide pools. There are plenty of hiking trails nearby that take you to other beautiful beaches + trails in Ecola State Park, but the beach itself is such a magical place to explore! This spot at the base of Tillamook Head is for sure the place to elope if you want to literally tie the knot where Twilight was filmed. Sooo freaking cool!
And there you have it y’all, my top 8 favorite Twilight-inspired elopement locations in the PNW. I hope you get to hit up at least one of these spots for your big day and make allll your Twilight elopement dreams come true – and let me know if you need a Twilight-obsessed elopement photographer to come along and document it!
