Taylor + Corey were originally supposed to elope in Ireland until COVID hit. Sooo we found the closest thing for their adventure elopement – God’s Thumb!

 

T + C’s Ireland elopement-turned-Oregon elopement

 

These cuties originally planned the most epic Ireland elopement. . . then, you guessed it – COVID changed their plans. So they decided to elope in Oregon instead!!

 

 

We found the most “Ireland” spot in the PNW, God’s Thumb (which I talk more about below!). And we truly got the most Ireland/Oregonian day ever y’all. Filled with rain, intense winds, bright sun, and the most rad cliff spot all to ourselves! 

 

 

Taylor + Corey hiked in the mud with me. Corey slipped in the mud just before we got to our spot, and it POURED rain during their vows. Once it was time for some more couples portraits, the sky cleared up + the sun came out! It was insaneeee weather and these two loved it all.

 

 

And we actually did a 2-part elopement – one day here at God’s Thumb, and then we met up 2 days later in southern Oregon for the rest of it!!

 

 

I wouldn’t trade these days for anything and I love these two + their flexibility to adapt their plans and make the absolute BEST out of the situation.

 

About God’s Thumb, Oregon

 

God’s Thumb is a popular hike in Lincoln City and is super famous for the green “thumb” landscape (pictured in this elopement)! I love love God’s Thumb and how it feels like you’re not even in Oregon – you would think you’re somewhere in northern Ireland, right?! 

 

 

If you want to do the full hike, it’s a 4.3-mile hike round trip and has just ALL around stunningggg views. I’m always up for God’s Thumb for a session or elopement – I seriously will never get tired of this place!

Brier + Ivy is an AMAZING Portland-based florist. They put together such a stunning bouquet for Taylor. It was filled with light pinks, shades of nude, and the dreamiest neutral colors. + I loveee the variety of leaves and shapes of flowers they used!!

 

 

Kalen Rivers, a super talented calligrapher in Oregon, designed Taylor’s jean jacket! The black calligraphy looked bomb against the light-wash jacket for their adventure elopement. Brides, def consider a custom jean jacket if you’ll be outside during a chillier season!
