Y’all, this was such an incredible day celebrating Kelsey & Alex!! 

 

I was so stoked when they reached out to me to photograph their elopement & told me they wanted to be married at a waterfall in Oregon! They wanted a spot with minimal hiking so their family could be there. And they also wanted to find somewhere that wouldn’t have a ton of people, that way they could have a private ceremony just for them + their family!

Sooo I worked up a location guide for them, including tons of info about different waterfalls across Oregon, including hike lengths/times + more.

 

It couldn’t have ended up more perfect + magical. The mist from the waterfall and the sun peeking through the trees created the most magical light rays – straight out of a fairytale y’all!!

“We hired Dawn to photograph our elopement and we are so grateful that we did. 

 

Finding a photographer we loved was really important to us.  We were looking for someone who could capture both true emotion (rather than a posed look) and the beauty of natural landscape.  It took months to find, but as soon as we saw Dawn’s work, we knew that she was what we were looking for.

Dawn is one of those rare people that feels like a close friend the first time you meet her, she has a warm and bubbly personality and a contagious excitement. She made us feel at ease right away on our first call.

 

We knew we wanted to get married near a waterfall but had never been to Oregon. Dawn put together a comprehensive guide of waterfalls in the area, with local tips and suggestions. We were able to pick our location from her guidebook and it ended up being perfect.

As the elopement date got closer, she even drove out to the location to scout it out and sent us videos and pictures.  This gesture really meant a lot to us.  We understand the value of a photographer’s time and seeing the pictures and videos helped eliminate any lingering anxiety about eloping in a location we’d never seen.

 

On the day of the elopement, she just told us to be ourselves and showed us beautiful spots to explore.  Dawn made us feel really comfortable and even though we’re usually awkward taking pictures we actually had fun (mostly because you didn’t really think about it as taking pictures).  She sent us a sneak preview of the photographs and they were stunning.

In all, we are extremely happy with our decision to hire Dawn and are very grateful for everything she has done for us.”
