If you’re searching for a wedding venue in Oregon with insane mountain views, rolling riverside pastures, and gorgeous accommodations that can host you & your besties for a full weekend… then congrats, you’ve found it! House on Metolius checks all those boxes and more, truly such a dream come true for couples who want to plan an unforgettable wedding weekend in Camp Sherman.
In this guide, I’ll be taking you through the most important info you need to know about tying the knot at House on Metolius—including how to get there, guest capacity, ceremony + reception sites, and starting prices. Fair warning, though: you’ll probably be swept off your feet by how STUNNING this location is, and will wish your wedding day could get here sooner!

House on Metolius is located within one of my favorite (and super underrated) areas of north-central Oregon, called Camp Sherman! This small city is just over 30 miles from Bend, right on the Wild & Scenic Metolius River. The whole area is scenic and beautiful for sure, but once you step onto the 200-acre estate where House on Metolius sits, you may never want to leave. It’s got everything: dramatic mountain views, a winding river, lush grassy areas, wide-open fields, and is even surrounded by millions of acres of national forest. In the 100+ years House on Metolius has been around, they’ve done an amazing job of transforming it into a cozy + modern getaway, while still preserving all the natural beauty and magic of the land itself.

House on Metolius can fit up to 180 wedding guests, and up to 42 overnight guests. However, they also have smaller micro wedding/elopement packages for weddings with 16 guests or fewer!
Honestly, any time you want. House on Metolius is a four-season wedding venue, with spaces to celebrate no matter the weather. The views never get any less breathtaking, just a little different between seasons; clear blue skies and mountain views in the summer,
crisp air and colorful foliage in the fall, enchanting snowy landscapes in the winter, and vibrant greenery in the spring. Because House on Metolius has both indoor and outdoor venue options, you know you’ll always have a backup plan in case of bad weather, too!

Yes! You can bring your own vendors to bring your dream House on Metolius wedding to life. The team there is super great, helpful with coordination, and will make sure everything goes off without a hitch.
Because of the wildlife that often roams the property, House on Metolius doesn’t allow pets.
If you want to incorporate your pets into your wedding somehow, you could always incorporate photos or illustrations of them into your decor, or FaceTime whoever is taking care of them and say hi as you’re getting ready for the day 🙂

There are infinite reasons that House on Metolius is such a great venue for weddings & elopements of all kinds… but here are just a few highlights that make it a standout in the region.
House on Metolius is truly a hidden gem of this region of Oregon, boasting the dreamiest setting to head into the mountains + meadows with your people. With 200 acres of expansive pastures, riverside landscapes, and manicured lawns, you and your guests will have access to SO many ways to explore. The nearby national forest land has a ton of hiking trails, wildlife, and fishing opportunities, and pretty much everywhere you go on the property offers unparalelled views of the Metolius River, Mt. Jefferson, and Three Fingered Jack. It’s wild, quiet, and so perfectly peaceful.

The only thing that could make this huge and beautiful property even better? Having it all to yourselves. Every wedding hosted at House on Metolius is completely exclusive, meaning you and your guests will have uninterrupted use of the entire property! This makes it the PERFECT place to host a multi-day wedding weekend and give everyone a few days to embrace the House on Metolius experience.
You can stay right on the property, too, in the main house as well as the overnight cabins—a dreammm for multi-day celebrations when you don’t want to have to leave the property. House on Metolius can fit up to 42 overnight guests in its various accommodations, and anyone who doesn’t stay on the property can stay at one of the many other local resorts, cabins, and vacation homes available within a 15-minute drive. The two of you could stay in the main house with your wedding party, and have the rest of your fam/friends rent the cabins next to you 😍
House on Metolius is such a great venue for full wedding weekends that I actually featured it in my recent guide, Why You Should Have a Multi-Day Wedding! Check it out to get all my best multi-day wedding activity ideas, logistical tips, and sample itineraries. 🙌

As I mentioned earlier, a huge plus to getting married at House on Metolius is the fact that it’s available for weddings year-round—and equally incredible during literally every season. The venue’s outdoor spaces are obviously dependent on weather, but even if you have to move anything inside due to rain/snow/wind/etc, don’t worry: the mid-century modern interiors of the main house are just as gorgeous for your celebration. The Metolius River Valley also offers super clear skies, which means there are amazing opportunities here for stargazing at different times of year!

House on Metolius has a venue to fit every couple’s vision, featuring four ceremony and reception sites that you’ll love:
The most popular ceremony site, with to-die-for views of Mt. Jefferson in the background.
Both great options if you want to be a bit more protected from the sun; the ponderosa pines on these lawns are huge and offer plenty of natural shade.
The patio off of the main house overlooks the river, and is the venue’s largest event space (can fit up to 180 people for a reception).
No matter where you end up exchanging your vows and celebrating, all of House on Metolius’ spaces flow super well + allow guests to mingle comfortably. Pro tip: if your wedding is in the summer, plan your festivities around the dreamyyy early evening & sunset lighting that this venue gets.

Finally, House on Metolius doubles as both a wedding venue AND your newest favorite vacation destination. It’s a place you’ll want to return to over and over again to re-live all the beautiful memories, and to create new ones! Maybe you come back for your anniversary every year, you book a cabin for a spontaneous couples weekend when you need to get away, or you bring your family here for reunions/trips together down the road. The connection you feel to this place won’t disappear when you leave after the wedding—it’ll be something you cherish for many years to come. Especially if you come back to visit during different seasons of your lives 🤍

Next, let’s get into the nitty-gritty numbers of what it actually costs to get married at House on Metolius.
